Weekend Getaway Anyone?

 

In a previous post, I described some of the necessities I like to pack for a quick getaway. Where do I like to go for a quick getaway? One of my renewed favs is Galveston Island, Texas. As a child, I spent quite a bit of time in Galveston with my family and my Houston relatives.

Galveston Island has something for everyone. There are plenty of places to eat a good meal without breaking the bank after doing some souvenir shopping. If long strolls on the beach with good company after souvenir shopping and eating a great meal is your kind of getaway, Galveston Island is the place for you!
